Kick in the Ass

Well, I finally got that kick in the ass that is probably best for me.

Yesterday at work, I found out that, due to reorganization, my job is going away. My last day will be July 24th.

While I do not talk about work very often here, I do maybe allude to how unhappy that I am with my life in general and my work life in particular.

This is my chance.

No more worrying about my first step. Here it is.

I am going to get down into the job search once I get back from the cruise next week.

  1. Good luck as you begin this new journey! Have fun on the cruise, too. :)

  2. Wow, that must have been a jolt! It's great that you see this as an opportunity--it is a great opportunity to find something that is more in tune with what you want to do. I'm excited for you!

Have a great time on the cruise, too!

  3. Wow, on one hand I'm very sorry to hear that, but you have a great attitude about this. I hope you have a great time on your cruise, and who knows, maybe you'll end up at a much better job after!!!

  4. Good attitude.....this just might turn into something great for you!

  5. I lost my job the beginning of March. It took me a month to find another one and I couldn't be happier! Even my Other has said that in spite of the month of agony it's probably the best thing that could have happened. Hope yours ends up the same way!

  6. Sorry to hear that you have to find a new job, but hopefully it will be one that's a better fit for you and where you are happier. I know it's scary though!

  7. Just changed jobs recently...scarey but I like what I am doing now. My old job was cut to 15 hours a week and just couldn't live on that. I decided to leave without another job prospect. I found a job doing something totally different than before.

Kinda old to be learning new tricks-but guess that is what life is about.

Thinking good thoughts and hoping that your new journey is blessed!

  8. I love your positive attitude about this! Because it really is a great opportunity for you and I hope it's exactly the gentle push you need to follow your passions.

I love your comments!
