Knitting and Lunch

I did some knitting on the airplane to Denver and to Boston. I am knitting the cabled beret from the Fall/Winter 2008 Debbie Bliss magazine. I using Jo Sharp Silkroad Aran in Hemlock, which is 85% wool, 10% silk, 5% cashmere. It is my first time knitting something with silk and it feels so good. It will be a great hat for me. I also tried a new Healthy Choice meal, General Tso's Spicy Chicken. I am not a big frozen meal eater but I keep a few on hand in case of rushed mornings so I can bring a lunch. It wasn't bad and actually looked sort of appeal prior to the sauce even though there were only 3 pieces of chicken. I did Secret Sister's taxes tonight and it did not go well. She owes the IRS money and she breaks down. I don't like to see her like that.

  1. Wow I love the color and look of that yarn...it appears to have a sheen to it. The cable pattern you're working on is really cool!

  3. Ah!! I almost bought some Jo Sharp Silkroad on Saturday to make a new scarf, but I was afraid to even ask what the price was since I would have needed 4 or 5 balls!! Beautiful hat--I really need to learn to do cables! :-)

  4. Luckily, I got the yarn on sale at a local LYS. I can not pass up a good yarn sale.
